HealthSpring’s Andy Flatt Named Chairman of Nashville Technology Council
HealthSpring, Inc. announced that Andy Flatt, the Company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, has begun a two-year term as the chairman of the Nashville Technology Council (NTC), an affiliate of the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. Since 1999, the NTC has been devoted to helping the Middle Tennessee technology community succeed.
As chairman, Mr. Flatt will oversee the launch and expansion of several initiatives to help member-companies grow, expand college enrollment in computer science, and provide new services for entrepreneurs. He will bring the knowledge and skills honed from managing more than 100 employees in the HealthSpring IT department, which has successfully kept pace with the technology demands of the growing healthcare organization.
“The NTC has had a very positive impact on the Middle Tennessee business and tech community,” said Mr. Flatt. “I’m proud to be working alongside other professionals to continue that good work.”
Mr. Flatt joined HealthSpring nearly three years ago, after six years with AIM Healthcare Services, Inc. He is involved in various professional activities, including serving on the Board of the Tennessee chapter of the Health Information Management Systems Society. Mr. Flatt earned his B.S. in computer science at Lipscomb University.
“At HealthSpring, we are focused on the latest and best technology applications that help us better serve our members and physician partners,” continues Mr. Flatt. “In the end, my involvement with NTC is highly complementary to my role at HealthSpring.”
