Employer Group Waiver Plans are offered by Medicare Part D providers to employer or union sponsored group members where the employer or union does not deal directly with the Center for Medicare Services (CMS). In this case, the third party Part D provider receives the direct subsidies, low income subsidies, and reinsurance payments for the employer’s approved beneficiaries and disburses them as appropriate.
